The task which the Cochrane Musculoskeletal Group has
undertaken is enormous and will only be achieved thanks to the good will of
people (health care professionals, consumers and researchers) volunteering their
skills and time. Many people around the world have become involved but there is
always a need for continued assistance with the efforts of CMSG. We invite you
to become involved in any of the following ways:
- Review
Author: If you have
expertise in some aspect of healthcare related to musculoskeletal health,
consider joining the Cochrane Musculoskeletal Group (CMSG). Being part of a
Cochrane review group provides the support, resources and training to tackle a
systematic review, and an international audience when your work is published
in The Cochrane Library. Help is
now wanted to develop reviews for priority topics.
- Editor: CMSG has an
editorial team that provides support for reviewers to ensure the highest
quality in their work. Sometimes we need content/topic or methodological
expertise. Other times we need expertise and an editor's eye for detail,
consistency and clear expression.
- External
Referee: Critical evaluation is essential to
ensure and maintain a high scientific standard throughout the process of
making a systematic review and external referees are fundamental to achieving
this standard. If you have methodological or content/topic expertise in any
musculoskeletal condition, we invite you to join the CMSG external referee
team.
Please let us know if you are interested in writing a review, becoming an editor or handsearching a medical journal in the Your Comments box below and send to the CMSG editorial base.
